For outdoor enthusiasts, the village boasts a number of specialist shops such as The Climbers Shop which offers a range of outdoor gear and Country Harvest, stocking a selection of outdoor and country clothing as well as local crafts and gifts.
There are also a few great places to eat and drink in Chapel Stile. The Wainwright’s Inn is a popular local pub that serves a range of traditional pub food and real ales, while the Chesters Cafe offers a selection of hot drinks, cakes and light bites.
Other services in the village include a small medical centre, the Langdale Coop, a hair salon and a laundry service.
